To all of my Friends and Family I recently had a short Hospital stay because of severe Pancreatitis. My Dr. Thought at the time that a medicine I take for Colitis called Imuran was causing this inflammation as it can be one of the side effects of that drug. While in the Hospital I underwent an Ultra Sound and a CT. After I was released from the Hospital My Dr. had me take an MRI. The results of this test showed a 1.8x1.4 mass in my pancreas body. The test also appeared to show that this mass is not encased to the Mesenteric Artery, or regional Lymphadenopthy which is good news. I also was took a CA19-9 test which tests for cancer in your blood. The results were a 5 out of a 0-37 scale. Low numbers are can be considered normal as it is common to have low amounts in your system. I have an appointment with a surgeon on 11-3-09 and have scheduled an Endoscopic Ultra Sound for 11-12-09 where they will check to see if this mass in cancerous. We are a God Loving Family who believes in the power of Prayer so at this time I ask you to pray for My family and Myself.
Update
I will have the Endoscopic Ultra Sound on 11-12-09, the results take 48 hours so we have scheduled the surgery for 11-18-09. It will be a 4 hour surgery and then a 7-10 day Hospital stay. If there is no cancer I will have about 6 weeks of recovery at home. If there is cancer I will start Radiation and Chemo Treatment once My Doctor suggests the time.
Thanks for all the Prayers and concern. Lee

I had my EUS test today and although the biopsy hasn't been sent to a Lab yet, the Dr. who performed the procedure told my wife he belives it is carcinmoa (cancer). The good news is that it has not spread and is still operable. Please continue to Pray for My Family and Myself.
Thanks for all your Prayers and Thoughts.
